Cox® Flexion-Distraction

Cox® Technic is a gentle, effective, and safe type of spinal manipulation that can help relieve numerous conditions, including neck pain, back pain, leg pain, disc herniations, and pregnancy back pain (see below for the entire list). This technique has over 50 years of research and documentation showing how it is the non-surgical approach to back pain relief and is an alternative to back surgery.

Dr. Heppe was trained in Cox® Flexion-Distraction in Fort Wayne, IN by the founder Dr. James Cox and stays credentialed by attending courses and live events yearly. Her office has a Cox 7 table, designed especially for this technique and protocols.  She is the only certified Cox practitioner within 40 miles of the Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania area.

Cox® Technique is one of the most researched protocols in chiropractic. The evidence-based protocols are tested in laboratory and clinical trials, which are supported by both private funding and federally funded research grants through the U.S. National Institutes for Health (NIH) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
